I really enjoy going away for the weekend and Copenhagen is great for a weekend break. The atmosphere is really relaxed but there are also many different activites to choose from. Go for a stroll in a beautiful park, shop for cool design or have a beer at cosy Grå Brödre Torv. One of my favourite places in the city is the cool Laundromat Café in Norrebro, an unusual combo of a laundromat, acafé and a bar. Do your laundry or read one of the many books available at the bar. The pancake breakfast is to die for! I enjoy water sports but I'm really starting to hesitate when getting into the small rubber boat equipped with life jacket, helmet and paddle. Is going down waterfalls really such a good idea? I decide to give it a go outside of Rotorua on the northern island of New Zealand. After going down a couple of smaller waterfalls the highlight is approaching – the seven metre waterfall. The adrenaline is pumping through my body and I hold on tight. The next second the water is everywhere and I'm not completely sure what side is up and down. I'm very thankful for my life jacket. One of the instructors pulls me back into the boat and he and his colleagues are busy – everyone of us, exept for a farmer from Ireland fell out of the boat. Anything can happend when rafting in the rivers of New Zealand... My favourite beach is Scarborough outside of Perth in Western Australia. This is really a lovely spot and no matter if you surf or not, the waves are great! There are also public gasoline barbeques, perfect for the classic aussie bbq. If you forgot your picnic basket at home you can easily grab something from the cafés or the nearby supermarket. Read more and find flights and hotels:
