Travel smoothly through Europe, see a lot and arrive to a central location in each city. Travelling by train has got many advantages! We're guiding you in the Interrail-djungle.
Going on an Interrail card is an enjoyable way to see Europe and you can make as many stops as you wish, in a pace that suits you. There are many different Interrail cards to choose from – here's an overview.
The
Interrail Global Pass is available in two different forms: consecutive and flexi. Consecutive gives you unlimited travelling within Europe for 22 days or a whole month. Flexi on the other hand is valid for a limited number of days during a specified period of time. Choose between five optional days of travel during ten days or ten days of travel during a period of 22 days. None of the different Global passes are valid in your country of residence – it does however give you a reduction in many home countries – usually 50 %. Unfortunately, travellers from the UK will not receive any reduction.
With an
InterRail one country pass you can choose three, four, six or eight days of travel during a month – within one country. An adult travelling in 2nd class will pay between 119-299 euros for a one country pass. The price is depending on the choice of country – Slovenia, Bulgaria and the Czech Republic are some of the cheapest whereas France and Germany are examples of more expensive ones.
One month of continuous travelling in the whole of Europe is 599 euros for an adult travelling in 2nd class. Anyone under 26 will get a reduction and pay 399 euros for the same pass. The reduced youth price is only available in 2nd class – but adults and children can choose to upgrade their pass to 1st class, for 809 euros per month of unlimited travel.
30 countries are included: Austria, Belgium, Bosnia-Herzegovina, Bulgaria, Croatia, Czech Republic, Denmark, Finland, France, Germany, Great Britain, Greece, Hungary, Italy, Luxemburg, Montenegro, The Netherlands, Norway, Poland, Portugal, Republic of Ireland, FYR Macedonia, Romania, Serbia, Slovakia, Slovenia, Spain, Switzerland, Sweden, Turkey and on the ferry between Italy and Greece operated by Attica Group.
