Oasis of the Seas is now launched
MS Oasis of the Seas is making her first cruise on the 12th of December this year, from Fort Lauderdale to the Caribbean. But the ship has already been launched in Finland and every day on board is likely to be an adventure.
MS Oasis of the Seas is the latest addition to the Royal Caribbean Cruise-family. With 360 metres, 220 000 tons and a capacity of 5400 passengers, this is the world's largest cruise ship. Passengers will be assisted by 3000 crew members.
The queen of cruise was launched on the 7th of December at the shipyard STX outside of Åbo in the southwest of Finland.
Central Park on level eight is among the most spectacular things on board with giant trees and exotic plants. There will also be two (!) beaches on board, one of them indoors. If you feel like shopping or dining the Royal Promenade is the perfect choice with its many fancy shops and restaurants. There's also a possibility to get married on board.
There's also a bar that moves between three floors, two climbing-walls and a cableway for those who aren't afraid of heights. The stern holds a giant amphitheatre and water acrobats are holding shows there and during the days passengers can try scuba diving. In the Youth Zone there are plenty of activities for young and old kids.
Oasis of the Seas is making her first journey from Miami to the Caribbean in December next year.
Oasis of the Seas in figures
Each week the more than 8000 people on board will consume 126 000 eggs, 26 000 slices of pizza and 12500 cans of beer.
