If you're booking your trip with a tour operator you might be offered to make extra stops, with a small fee. Also make sure you're reservations are changeable if you need them to and ask if there are any additional fees.

Students under 33 and youths under 26 can get discounts.

Make sure your insurance covers the whole trip.

Remember that you passport will have to be valid even after you're back home. For trips to the US you passport needs to be valid six months after your trip.

You will have to apply for a VISA to enter some countries. Remember that paper work can be slow and you need to apply on time. Also keep in mind that you'll have to leave the country before your VISA expires.
