Where to go and what to bring
Africa is trendy; the tourism in Africa has increased twice as much as in the rest of the world this year, according to the World Tourism Organization. A popular way to see Africa is to combine a safari with other activites.
Choose a region and combine your safari with wine tours, golf or lazy days by the beach.
Kenya and Tanzania
Visit Sergenti and Masai Mara, experience wild animals and meet the masai people. You can also easily combine your safari with a week in the sun, Mombasa or Zanzibar are both popular.
Zambia
Go to the Lunagwa park – one of the places in Africa where you are most likely to actually spot the rare leopard.
South Africa
Visit the well-known Krüger National Park and combine your safari with a visit to Cape Town. Perfect if you also want to join a wine tour or do some golfing among other things.
The price can varey widely depending on what kind of safari you want. Lodges are available in all price ranges; from plain tents with simple facilities to luxury bungalows with your own pool, driver and guide.
If you are willing to help out with food and tents yourself, you can easily save lots of money.
