We leave that to the experts, i.e. the travel companies themselves. Our job is to make it easier for you to find the right travel at the right price. You make bookings and payments directly with the travel company.
What are the advantages of using Orbville.com?
You save time and money. Rather than visiting ten different websites, running ten different searches and looking at ten different results (and the price may even have changed between visits), we offer everything in one search. We can present availability and prices in real time from several different travel companies in a single search. And it doesn’t cost you a penny.
Do you sell travel goods yourselves?
No, that would dent our credibility because we would be forced to only show things we could make money from. That would make it more difficult for us to achieve our vision of being the preferred choice for anyone planning a trip.
So how do you make money?
Orbville.com is a search engine for travel – we are not a travel agent and we don’t sell travel goods. This means we don’t book tickets, accommodation or arrange travel. Instead we help you compare different travel options. We earn our money when you click on one of the travel companies we're presenting. Of course the service is free of charge for travellers.
Can I trust the companies presented at Orbville.com?
Our goal is to only compare products and prices from professional suppliers and online agencies. This is important to us because we want to be the preferred choice for anyone planning a trip. We do our utmost to check travel companies connected to Orbville.com. But we are only human, and every sector has its share of bad eggs. Consequently, it is always up to you, to decide which travel company to choose. Don’t hesitate to contact us if you have views on any of the companies presented at Orbville.com. If you are unsure about a company it may be a good idea to post a question in our discussion forum. Another member may have previous experience of using that company.
Where should I direct any complaints or comments?
If you have already made your purchase and your complaint or comment relates to that purchase, please contact the travel company where you made your booking. If you have any questions about our website, please e-mail us. Do I have to book the travel service online?
No. In some cases you can also call the travel company and make your booking on the phone. The contact details for each company can be found on the company’s website, and you can reach them by clicking on the logo.
How do the Flights and Hotels services work?
In technical terms, our search engine scans the Internet and accesses products and prices from various travel- and online agencies while you wait. The results are initially presented in price order; (an important feature in our opinion), but you can of course sort the results differently if you prefer.
Why don’t you compare all travel companies?
We strive to offer the widest and best range of trips and travel goods on the market. But we have learnt that this takes some time. If any travel company is missing this may be for technical or sometimes policy reasons: some companies simply don’t want to be compared. But we are constantly working to increase the diversity and range on our site.
